Merri And Beau Are Bridgewater's Pets Of The Week

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Meet Merri and Beau! They have been chosen as Bridgewater Patch's Pets Of The Week.

"I'd like to nominate Merri (black) and Beau (his friends call him BoBo) for Bridgewater Pets of the Week. My wife and I are 'empty nesters' and animal lovers. We rescued Beau 5 years ago (Home for Good Dog Rescue) and Merri 4 years ago (Ruff Rehab). From day one they have been bundles of love and companionship.

Beau is laid back and Merri is a dynamo of energy and mischief (don’t let those soft brown eyes fool you). She always wants to wrestle with Beau and constantly hides his rawhide. He lets her go just so far, though, and then he pounces. Just like kids all over again!

We're so grateful that they're part of our family and to have had the opportunity to save their lives. (We also have two rescue cats, but that's another story!)"

Do you think your pet should be Bridgewater's Pet of the Week?

Participating in the Pet of the Week happenings is simple: submit your nomination by emailing alexis.tarrazi@patch.com with subject line "Bridgewater Pet Of The Week." Be sure to include a photograph or two of your pet, a paragraph about what makes him or her so great, and the town you're from.

You can choose to include your name, but you don't need to. Then just keep an eye out for a photo of your pet on the Patch!

The photo can be of a present pet, or it can be a baby picture of the adult pet you're so proud of today. All photos must be property of the submitter.

Additionally, selected winners each week will be given a free treat bag when they stop in Woof Gang Bakery and Grooming inside Bridgewater Towne Center at 732 US-202. And winners can also bring their pet into the store for a picture. Woof Gang Bakery will put them up on their Facebook page as well.
