Midland Corp. Elects Sandra LoPiccolo to Board
The Midland Corporation announced the appointment of Mrs. Sandra M. LoPiccolo of Maplewood, N.J. to the Board of Trustees.

The Midland Corporation, which provides oversight, strategic direction and policy to guide The Midland School and Midland Adult Services in North Branch, N.J., announced the appointment of Mrs. Sandra M. LoPiccolo of Maplewood, N.J. to the Board of Trustees, effective December 2018.
An avid supporter of Midland on many levels, and the parent of a child currently attending the school, Mrs. LoPiccolo has been a volunteer with The Midland Foundation since 2016 and was named co-chair of the “Midland Goes to the Movies with PNC” event in 2018.
After graduating from Hamilton College, Mrs. LoPiccolo took on multiple roles within CBS News in New York rising to the rank of Producer for CBS News Sunday Morning. During her time at CBS News she was a five-time News and Documentary Emmy Awards nominee. Since 2010 she has focused on nonprofit work, including active leadership roles within the Junior League of the Oranges and Short Hills where she was honored in 2012. She currently serves as the Director of Communications for the Bedtime Math Foundation in Summit, NJ where her responsibilities include public relations, marketing, brand management and effective use of social media. Mrs. LoPiccolo is also a member of the Special Education Parent Advisory Committee in South Orange-Maplewood.

McInerney. “First and foremost, Mrs, LoPiccolo and her family demonstrate an authentic commitment to Midland and the success of our mission. She also possesses the knowledge and experience related to how a Board functions through her professional nonprofit work and volunteer experiences.”

Who We Are
Founded in 1960, Midland is a CARF-accredited New Jersey not-for-profit, 501c3 organization comprised of The Midland School and Midland Adult Services, Inc. (MAS).
The Midland School is an approved private special education school dedicated to the individual, academic, social, emotional and career education needs of children, adolescents and young adults, ages 3 through 21, with developmental disabilities. Partnering with an array of businesses and corporations, Midland’s extensive career education, and school-to-work transition program places a high percentage of Midland students in competitive jobs prior to graduation.
Midland Adult Services focuses on the transition from school to adult life by providing residential living, community and life skills training, job training and placement, day and social/recreational experiences to support and enrich the lives of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
