More Details Revealed In Bridgewater Shooting, Crash
A Bridgewater man was arrested in connection with the shooting and crash on Friday night on Morgan Lane.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A Bridgewater man was arrested in connection with a domestic violence issue that led to a shooting and a crash on Friday night on Morgan Lane.
Robert W. Smith, 36 was charged with second-degree aggravated assault by "attempting to cause serious bodily injury" to a 34-year-old woman, according to the criminal complaint.
At around 10 p.m., Smith reportedly drove his motor vehicle in a "reckless manner" and rammed it into the victim's car as she was driving, causing a crash that injured the female victim, the complaint states.

Additionally, Smith fired multiple shots from a gun at the victim's occupied vehicle, according to the complaint. The victim was not shot.
Somerset County Prosecutor's Office spokesman Jack Bennett would only say that the situation is an "ongoing investigation."
