More Route 202 Lane Closures Expected Near Somerville Circle In Bridgewater

Priority inlet repairs are continuing on the highway, with closures this time on the northbound side.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Drivers can expect more lane closures and delays on Route 202 in Bridgewater near the Somerville Circle on Friday. This time it will be on the northbound side.

The closures are due to a priority inlet repair between the Somerville Circle and Route 22, said the New Jersey Department of Transportation(NJDOT).

From 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., Friday, the left lane on Route 202 northbound is scheduled to be closed to complete repairs to an inlet between the Somerville Circle and the ramp from the Circle onto Route 202 northbound.

The right lane on Route 202 northbound and the ramp will remain open.

If work is not completed on Friday, the left lane will be closed on Monday, Feb. 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. if necessary.

"Motorists are advised to slow down, use caution, and expect delays when traveling through the work zone," according to NJDOT.
