The unity vigil will be held on Thursday, Feb. 16 at 8 p.m. at the Christ Presbyterian Church, 1600 Washington Valley Road, Martinsville.

MARTINSVILLE, NJ — Muslim and Jewish women of Somerset and Hunterdon counties will lead a unity vigil on Thursday night to raise voices in prayer and song to bring people together in the current "difficult times."

"Attempts to institutionalize a travel ban against Muslims using the force of government conjures memories and our darkest fears," Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom stated. :This evening of action is at a critical time in our nation’s history - we must draw strength for each other and resist those who seek to divide us by party, demonize our beliefs, silence our memory, and paralyze us with fear."

The unity vigil will be held on Thursday, Feb. 16 at 8 p.m. at the Christ Presbyterian Church, 1600 Washington Valley Road, Martinsville.
