National Night Out Canceled In Bridgewater Due To Impending Rain

A Flood Watch has been issued for Bridgewater from Tuesday at 2 p.m. through Wednesday at 12 p.m.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — National Night Out scheduled for Tuesday is canceled in Bridgewater due to the pending rainy forecast.

"Unfortunately, due to the pending inclement weather, we are canceling our National Night Out for tomorrow (Aug. 6), said Bridgewater Police Lt. Frederick J. Brittain III on Monday.

A "Rain Date" has yet to be determined. Once that date is scheduled police will send out an update.

Tuesday Night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Patchy fog after 2 a.m. Low around 65. East wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.

Wednesday: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 11 a.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11am. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 77. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Wednesday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 2 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 63. Northeast wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Thursday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 8 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 77. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
