New Athletic Director Named For Bridgewater-Raritan High School
Bill Deniz, who will start in December, will replace Athletic Director John Maggio, who will retire at the end of November.

BRIDGWATER, NJ — A new Supervisor of Athletics for the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional High School was named at the Tuesday night Board of Education meeting.
Bill Deniz, who will start in December, will replace Athletic Director John Maggio, who will retire at the end of November after a 24-year career at Bridgewater-Raritan High School.
"I am following in some big steps in coming in after John Maggio. That is a new challenge," Deniz said.

Deniz comes to Bridgewater-Raritan from Delaware Valley Regional High School, where he has served as the athletic director for 10 years at the Hunterdon County school.
"I am very excited to come to one of the premier schools in the Skyland Conference," Deniz said about the league that both Bridgewater-Raritan and Delaware Valley are members of.

Deniz began his educational career at John F. Kennedy High School in Iselin, where he coached football, wrestling and girls’ track at the Middlesex County school.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education at Montclair State University and then his master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Kean University.
He and his wife, Kristen, and two daughters, Juliet (age 11) and Summer (9), reside in Kingwood, a sending district to Delaware Valley High, which is located in Frenchtown.
The next Board of Education meeting will be held on Thursday, Oct. 27, at the high school’s media center.
