New Bridgewater Bar, Grill Slated To Open In December

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Two New Jersey long-time chefs and friends are joining culinary forces to open a new restaurant in town, 22 West Tap and Grill.

Kevin Trimarchi, who grew up in the Martinsville area or Bridgewater was very familiar with the location. It formally housed the long-time restaurant, The Office.

Trimarchi worked with Scott Morganlander, of Monroe for five years and their relationship evolved into a father-son connection. It was only fitting they take on owning their first restaurant together.

“It was perfect fit working together,” Morganlander said. “It made designing place and the menu pretty easy.”

Morganlander and Trimarchi envisioned elevating the concept of dining.

“This was a bar and grill and we turned it into an industrial gastro pub,” Trimarchi said. “We took the expectation of a bar and grill and elevated it.”

The property was purchased in July and since then the two have gutted the entire restaurant to provide a whole new feel.

More windows have been added to provide more light, a larger bar and and a banquet room is also part of the layout.

“We have elevated everything through service and through food,” Morganlander said.

To provide faster service all of the servers will be equipped with iPhones and iPads to take down orders and at the bar.

“There will be no waiting around,” Trimarchi said. “Speedy service is definitely key.”

Along with service, food is just as important.

“Food is number one priority,” Trimarchi said. “Scratch kitchen is what we are doing, everything is done in house.”

There will also be a seasonal menu where it will rotate every four months.

The soft opening will be in mid-December and a grand opening is planned for the spring when the restaurant hopes to have an outside patio added to the property as well.
