BOUND BROOK, NJ — The former Efinger Sporting Goods store on W. Union Avenue in Bound Brook will be divided up into multiple new businesses.

The massive 21,000 square-foot two-level store at 513 W. Union Ave. has remained vacant for just over three years since Efinger's closed at the end of 2016. Efinger's had been in business for 107 years since 1909. (See Related: Century-Old Business To Close In Somerset County)

The store will be divided up with a Dollar General and Ray's Bistro proposed to fill two of the open vacancies, pending borough approval, said Shane Wierks with Jeffrey Realty.

One open vacancy remains at the store.

The Goodwill Store also shares the property with the former Efinger building.
