New Mediterranean Restaurant To Open At Bridgewater Commons

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A new Mediterranean restaurant is opening at the Bridgewater Commons this fall.

CAVA is a healthy, fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant that allows patrons to customize their entire order.

The customizable menu has more than 50 offerings like their signature Crazy Feta, Border Springs Spicy Lamb Meatballs and Cauliflower Quinoa Tabbouleh as well as rotating seasonal offerings of juices, soups and roasted vegetables.

Bridgewater is a good fit for CAVA says Nikki Rappaport, who grew up in the local area and fondly remembers going to the Bridgewater mall on many occasions. Rappaport is also CAVA's Director of Innovation.

“We were looking to grow into communities that care about a bold food culture and care about healthy eating and Bridgewater was a natura extension for that,” Rappaport said. “Bridgewater has a vibrant and active community that live busy lives and they really fit the bill.”

CAVA will be located in the outdoor shopping area of the Commons, near Maggianos’s and 1000 Degrees Pizza.

Rappaport is hoping people will spend sometime shopping and then stop in for a bite.

“Patrons can customize their meal anyway they like as CAVA is set up like an assembly line style,” Rappaport said. “Guests can come down our line and pick and choose what they want. There is a really good versatility to the menu.”

The Bridgewater spot will open with CAVA’s seasonal fall menu, including additions like carrots and currants, yellow pepper tahini dressing and a refreshing line-up of bold-flavored, house-made juices.

Features of the restaurant include an outdoor patio and a rear entrance to allow for digital order pick-ups. CAVA recently launched its digital ordering platform giving guests the convenience they need when ordering. It is available for download on IOS at the Apple iTunes store and Android at the Google Play store.

The restaurant is hoping to open around October. A grand opening date will be announced as it gets closer.
