New Outdoor Furniture Store To Replace Pier 1 Imports Off Somerville Circle
The patio/outdoor furniture and accessories retailer will be taking over the 9,400-square-foot space at Somerset Shopping Center.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — The patio/outdoor furniture and accessories retailer Fortunoff Backyard Store is opening a new location at Somerset Shopping Center in Bridgewater.
The store will take over the 9,400-square-foot space formerly occupied by Pier 1 Imports, according to commercial real estate services firm Levin Management Corporation (LMC), who secured the lease.
Fortunoff Backyard Store is planning to open in advance of the spring buying season and is planning for a full renovation of the space later in the year, according to LMC Senior Leasing Representative Vanessa Fernandez-Kelty.

The Fortunoff retailer has more than two dozen locations in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware and Pennsylvania.
Pier 1 announced the closure of all of its retail stores, including its Bridgewater location, in May 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic causing financial ruin on its already shaky status. Read More: Pier 1 Planning To Close Bridgewater Store

The Somerset Shopping Center still has remaining space available to lease ranging from 3,400 square feet to 22,000 square feet.
