New Police Officer Sworn To Serve Bridgewater

Officer ​Alex Jaszyn previously served as a Patrolman in Clinton before coming to Bridgewater Township.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A new police officer was sworn in to serve Bridgewater Township at the Thursday night Council meeting.

Officer Alex Jaszyn previously served as a Patrolman in Clinton for one and a half years.

"I am sure his experiences in the town of Clinton have prepared him for his new position as a Bridgewater Police Officer," said Bridgewater Police Chief John Mitzak.

Jaszyn lives in Whitehouse Station and graduated from Raritan Valley Community College and Stockton University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. He made the Deans list in all of his years at both schools.

Before becoming a police officer, Jaszyn served as a lifeguard for the New Jersey Division of Parks and Forestry.

For fun, Jaszyn is an outdoorsman who likes to fish, snowboard and ride motorcycles.
