New Principal Hired To Lead Bridgewater-Raritan High School

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Daniel Hemberger was appointed as Bridgewater-Raritan Regional High School's newest principal.

"Mr. Hemberger brings a wealth of experience to our district and has demonstrated a history as a dynamic caring and educated educator," said School Superintendent Robert Beers.

The Bridgewater-Raritan Board of Education unanimously appointed Hemberger during the March 8 meeting for a salary of $185,000 effective July 1.

"I am both humbled and grateful for this opportunity and very excited to take the helm of the flagship school of a premier district. I hope to serve as a unifier and a consensus builder, a faculty communicator for our school community and to sustain high standards for our students. I am truly thrilled to contribute my vision into a vibrant school culture and to celebrate our successes together," said Hemberger at the meeting.

Hemberger most recently served as Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction in the Manville School District.

He began his career 20 years ago as an English teacher at Hackettstown High School where he also advised the school's literary magazine and technology team and served as a wrestling coach leading to two state titles.

Ten years later he moved into the school administration side where he served as an English Supervisor at Piscataway High School, Vice Principal of Curriculum & Instruction at Delaware Valley Regional High School in Frenchtown, and Assistant Principal at Arthur L. Johnson High School in Clark.

Hemberger has a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from East Stroudsburg University and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Centenary College. He lives with wife, two kids and two dogs in Hunterdon County.
