New Year's Day Winning Lottery Ticket Sold At Bridgewater Wegmans

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — What a way to kick off 2020. A ticket sold at Wegmans in Bridgewater won the $51,502 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from the New Year's Day drawing.

The ticket matched all five of the winning numbers which were: 03, 20, 25, 26 and 41 and the XTRA number was: 02.

Wegmans Food Store at 724 Route 202 South in the Bridgewater Towne Center will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for selling the winning ticket.

There were 176,531 tickets purchased for the drawing, Acting Executive Director James Carey announced.

For correctly matching four of the five numbers drawn, 25 ticketholders won $600 each and four others won $1,200 each with the addition of XTRA. Moreover, for correctly matching three of the five numbers drawn, 905 ticketholders won $17 each and 203 others won $34 each with the addition of XTRA.

Lastly 2,818 ticketholders each won $2 for correctly matching two of the five numbers drawn with the addition of XTRA on their purchase.
