NJ State Police Colonel Callahan Named Somerville St. Patrick's Day Parade Grand Marshal

Patrick Callahan will serve as Grand Marshal for the 29th Annual Parade set to kick off on Sunday, March 13, 2022 in Downtown Somerville.

SOMERVILLE, NJ — New Jersey State Police Colonel Patrick J. Callahan has been named the 2022 Somerville St. Patrick's Day Parade Grand Marshal for its 29th Annual Parade.

The Somerville Saint Patrick’s Parade Committee chose Callahan due to his leadership and passion for service through the various organizations, mission work and volunteer projects he participates in.

Callahan was sworn in by Governor Chris Christie as the 14th Colonel and Superintendent of the New Jersey State Police on Oct. 31, 2017. He has served more than 27 years with the New Jersey State Police.

Callahan lives in Warren County with his wife Linda, two sons and two daughters.

Somerville Saint Patrick’s Parade," said the parade committee.

Callahan will be honored during a Grand Marshal Reception on Friday, Feb. 11, 2022 at the Somerville Elks Lodge #1068.
