"A little bit of Branchburg and Bridgewater spirit will be on the battle lines in Europe," said North Branch Volunteer Fire Company.

BRANCHBURG, NJ — In an effort to help Ukraine in their fight against Russia, North Branch Volunteer Fire Company has donated gear.
The donation was prompted after Clifton Fire Department contacted North Branch asking for any spare turnout gear to send to Ukraine due to their recent losses.
The volunteer fire company took some gear out of service in storage to donate.

Additionally, Hillsborough Fire District also donated many sets of gear, boots and tools to the same cause.
"Not only will the equipment help protect them but hopefully the notes and others things that were left in the pockets of the gear and written on the equipment give them some encouragement to continue," said IAFF Local 4897 Hillsborough Fire Marshals.
As of Monday, Clifton Fire Department has collected and packaged 400 sets of turnout gear to send over to Ukraine and is still collecting donations to send more.
