Olive Garden Celebrates Last Blue Moon Of The Year

To celebrate the appearance of the last Blue Moon until 2020 on March 31, guests who order a 22-ounce Blue Moon Belgian White at Olive Garden will be served in a commemorative pilsner glass.

The promotion starts March 31 and runs through May 27. The glass is part of Blue Moon’s Artist Series, originally launched in celebration of their 20th anniversary.

The limited-time glass will be available in-restaurants to take home with or without the purchase of a beer for just $2.99. The unique glass combines familiar Blue Moon images, such as orange slices and wheat, with famous Olive Garden imagery, such as breadsticks and pasta.

This partnership was spurred upon by the appearance of a "blue moon" that happens once in about 2.7 years. During the phenomenon, the moon appears bluish due to smoke or dust particles in the atmosphere.
