Outdoor Banquets Available At Bridgewater, Springfield Hotels

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — The coronavirus pandemic has caused many to cancel events such as weddings, baby showers, graduation parties, and more. Offering an alternative, the Hilton Garden Inn in Bridgewater and Springfield is now offering outdoor banquets.

"With indoor dining not going to happen for a while, we saw that we have an outdoor patio and put a tent up to offer outdoor banquets," said Area Director of Sales Jill Cerchio.

Bridgewater's location can accommodate up to 40 people while Springfield can have more. The space is open to any type of event, such as a small wedding, birthday parties, repast events, graduation parties, and more.

"The space is perfect for very small weddings or maybe they are having a courthouse wedding and want to have a dinner reception afterward," Cerchio said.

The hotel is also allowing outside catering services and provides the tent, linens, flatware, tables, chairs, and indoor restrooms. A bar and DJ can also be added.

"We are really looking for last-minute events that maybe you had to cancel but can do this now. So you don't have to wait another year," Cerchio said. "There are so many celebrations of life and repasts, we are trying to give people more options for smaller events."

Additionally, Cerchio noted the hotel has a courtesy room block at a discounted rate for all events for people who want to stay the night.

Inside the hotel is participating in the Hilton Cleanstay program where rooms get extra sanitation and a sticker on the door so that the next guest breaks the seal knowing the room has been sanitized, Cerchio said.

Other precautions include extra cleaning throughout common areas, masks are required, social distancing is enforced, one family is allowed per elevator at one time, and there are shields set up at the reception.
