More Than $21K Worth of Heroin Seized in Somerville

A Somerville drug dealer was arrested after police found more than $21,000 worth of heroin in his home, prosecutor reports

Somerville, NJ -- More than $21,000 worth of heroin was seized by police in Somerville following a drug investigation, Acting Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson announced Friday.

Detectives with the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Organized Crime and Narcotics Task Force conducted a three week long investigation into the sale of heroin by William Brown, age 59, of North Gaston Avenue, Somerville.

On March 17 around 9:30 p.m., police executed a search warrant at his home and found 2,156 folds of heroin and $557 in cash, according to Robertson.

The approximate street value of the heroin seized is $21,560.

Brown was charged with Possession of CDS (Heroin) with the Intent to Distribute, 2nd Degree.

He was lodged in the Somerset County Jail.
