Overturned Dump Truck Spills Sand, Partially Closes Route 202

BRANCHBURG, NJ — Route 202 was partially closed after a loaded dump truck carrying sand hit a utility pole and overturned on Monday afternoon in Branchburg, Police Lt. Peter Crisafulli said.

The dump truck was at the intersection of Route 202 North and River Road around noon when it overturned, spilling sand onto the highway, Crisafulli said.

The New Jersey State Department Of Transportation was on the scene to clean up.

Route 202 South remained open during the clean-up. There are no known injuries to the driver.
