Overturned Vehicle Fire Reported In Bridgewater: Video

The driver suffered a minor injury because of the crash on Friday, said police.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A driver was injured after his Jeep crashed and became engulfed in flames on Friday.

At around 4 p.m., a 38-year-old man was driving west on Frontier Road in a 2010 Jeep Liberty.

The driver hit a concrete/stone archway on the side of the road which caused his vehicle to overturn, said Bridgewater Police Captain Kevin Tennant.

The driver had a minor injury to his left hand because of the crash.

The Finderne Fire Department, which covers the southeast section of Bridgewater Township, is always looking for volunteers.

Volunteers are offered complete protective gear, free training, LOSAP (Length of Service Award Programs), a pay-per-call incentive, a life insurance/disability plan, and an in-house gym.
