Cuomo recently became the proud owner of the restaurant Water & Wine off Stirling Road in Watchung.

"Despite the long hours and demands of running a restaurant, Jimmy never misses making breakfast for his beloved children, James and Sophia — a cherished daily tradition they look forward to with so much joy. Jimmy’s wife, Violetta, stands by his side as his rock, supporting him and their family with endless strength and love," according to the GoFundMe.

The fundraiser is hoping to help pay for Cuomo's care and treatment which requires intensive medical support.

"While his official diagnosis is still undetermined, Jimmy’s family refuses to give up. We are committed to fighting for him every step of the way, ensuring he gets the best possible care and that his family’s well-being remains protected," according to the GoFundMe.

Launched on Thursday, the GoFundMe has already raised more than $100,000 - doubling the fundraising goal.

"Jimmy is loved more than words can express, and we know so many of you feel the same way. Let’s come together to show him that love and help him through this unimaginable time. Thank you for your generosity, your prayers, and your support. From the bottom of our hearts, we are forever grateful," according to the GoFundMe.
