Pedestrian Hit By Car, Hospitalized With Critical Injuries In Bridgewater Crash

The crash involved a Hillsborough driver and occurred on Finderne Avenue near the intersection of 4th Street on Tuesday night.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A Somerset County man is hospitalized with critical injuries after being hit by a car in Bridgewater on Tuesday night, said police.

On Feb. 2 at 6:28 p.m., Edward Hall, 48, of Somerset County was hit by a 2019 Honda CRV, being driven by Neeta Shah, 64, from Hillsborough on Finderne Avenue near the intersection of 4th Street, said Bridgewater Police Sgt. Frederick J. Brittain III.

Hall was taken to Robert Wood Johnson (RWJ) University Hospital by RWJ Rescue Squad and Paramedics. He is currently listed in critical condition, said Brittain III.

Shah was uninjured. As a result, a police investigation closed the roadway between E Main Street and the Manville border for about four hours. It reopened just after 10 p.m.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time.
