Pfizer Boosters For Kids 12-15 Available In Somerset County Beginning Monday
The first Somerset County clinic to offer the Pfizer booster for 12- to 15-year-olds will be on Jan. 10, from 4 to 7:30 p.m. in Bridgewater.
SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — The Pfizer COVID-19 booster for children as young as 12 will sooner be available in Somerset County beginning on Monday.
The Somerset County Department of Health will begin administering Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 booster shots to eligible individuals 12 to 15 years old who completed their initial Pfizer vaccination at least five months ago.
The first Somerset County clinic will be on Monday, Jan. 10, from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at the Senior Wellness Center at 876 E. Main Street in Bridgewater.

The Food and Drug Administration authorized the third Pfizer dose Monday, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention followed suit on Tuesday. Read More: Kids Booster Dose Gets CDC Approval: What NJ Parents Need To Know
Also, regulators authorized a third Pfizer vaccine shot five months after the second dose, shortening the wait period for the booster by a month, and authorized the boosters to immunocompromised children ages 5-11.

The clinic will operate every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and offers:
- Pfizer first, second, third and booster doses for all Somerset County residents 12 years and older,
- Pfizer pediatric for children 5-11 years old with parental presence and consent, and
- Moderna first, second, third and booster doses for all Somerset County residents 18 years and older.
Residents can find information on County vaccination and testing clinics, the State vaccination mega-site at the Bridgewater Commons Mall, and federal vaccination and testing recommendations at soconj.gov/vaxclinics.
