Police Identify Woman's Body Found In Branchburg
Breaking: Police have identified the body of a woman found in Branchburg on Wednesday. The cause and manner of death is pending testing.

BRANCHBURG, NJ — Police have identified the woman's body found in the center median of Route 22 in Branchburg on Wednesday afternoon.
Ashley M. Castro, 29, of Hopatcong was identified as deceased female, according to Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson.
A post mortem examination was performed Thursday by the New Jersey Northern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office in Newark. The cause and manner of death is pending further testing.

Castro's body was reported to Branchburg Police on April 5 around 1:22 p.m. The report said that the woman was on the center median of Route 22 near Route 28, in Branchburg, Robertson said.

Detectives are continuing to work to gather facts surrounding the death of Castro, and are requesting for the public’s assistance in establishing Castro’s recent whereabouts.
