PSE&G Gas Line Project Nears Completion In Bridgewater: Update
PSE&G offered Bridgewater Township an update on the Country Club Road (and surrounding areas) gas infrastructure projects.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — The ongoing PSE&G gas line infrastructure projects that have disrupted Bridgewater residents' lives for more than a year are finally nearing completion, according to the latest updates from PSE&G to Bridgewater Township.
According to PSE&G, the project is expected to be completed and roads repaved curb to curb in late spring of this year.
PSE&G began working in Bridgewater in February 2023 to replace aging cast iron gas pipes with new, durable plastic and/or coated steel piping.

"PSE&G is focused on delivering safe, reliable and affordable energy. We understand that infrastructure projects can be disruptive while the work is being performed. We’re working closely with the town and community to outline the next steps for the remainder of the project and associated timeline. We appreciate the community’s patience as we improve the gas service in their neighborhood," said PSE&G spokesperson Marijke Shugrue.

Completed:
- PSE&G has laid and trenched all new gas main lines.
- Most residents are now connected to the new gas main line.
Still To Do:
- 2 tie-ins to new gas main
- 3 old gas main sealings
- Services to any residents who need to be connected
- PSE&G is expected to complete this by the end of April
Road Closures:
- No full road closures for the rest of the gas line work
- Only when the roads are repaved will there be full closures in the area
The Finish Line:
- Final step is for most roads to be repaved curb to curb by PSE&G
- This final step will occur in late spring this year
"We understand from PSE&G that the main reason projects like this one take so long is that each property must be individually connected to the new gas main line. Therefore, any individual property owner's availability can significantly impact the project timeline," according to Bridgewater Township.
