Puppy and Dog Training Classes at Live and Learn Dogs

There are several ways to get your pup started on the right paw with play groups to training sessions at Live and Learn Dogs in Bridgewater.

Puppy Play sessions and Teen Socials offer a great opportunity for growing canines to socialize with each other in a supervised setting. Puppy Play is a 45-minute play group for ages 8 weeks to 5 months old. Puppies need to be up-to-date on their vaccinations and their owner needs to pre-register. Puppy parents can register online. Puppy Play sessions, which cost just $15, are held various days and times. Upcoming Puppy Play dates include:

• 12:45 pm on Monday, July 6

Teen Socials provide supervised play sessions for adolescent dogs ages 5 months to 18 months. These play groups help teens - just like their human counterparts - interact in appropriate ways. The next Teen Socials are scheduled for:

• 10:30 am on Saturday, August 15

The Puppy Play and Teen Socials are a great enhancement to the obedience training classes offered at Live and Learn Dogs. You can prevent potential behavior issues by enrolling in a Puppy Obedience Class. The Puppy Kindergarten Class at Live and Learn Dogs, is a 6-week course for puppies ages 8 to 20 weeks. Puppies are introduced to behaviors such as sit, wait, walk nicely on leash, coming when called, “Don’t pee on that!” and more. There also is a strong emphasis is socialization, so puppies will have lots of time to participate in appropriate play with each other during the hour-long class. Sessions run weekdays, weeknights and Saturdays.

The Basic Dog Training Class is a good option for doggy parents of canines 5 months and older. In this 7-week class, dogs can learn sit, down, coming when called, “leave that alone” and more. Dogs also will learn how to walk nicely on leash. Classes are offered weekdays, weeknights and Saturdays.

Another way to supplement your dog’s training is through the Puppy Prep School at Live and Learn Dogs. Dogs of all ages can benefit from this drop-off program from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm on Tuesdays. Each session offers play, socialization & extra training opportunities. A trainer will work with your dog on issues owners would like addressed - including walking nicely on leash, greeting people properly.
