Raritan Valley Community College Closes Due To Flooding

Flooding has closed multiple roads and highways across Somerset County on Tuesday.

BRANCHBURG, NJ — Due to flooding on local roads, Raritan Valley Community College will be closed Tuesday, Oct. 26.

Flooding has closed multiple roads across Somerset County as of 11 a.m.:

  • All lanes on Route 22 west are closed at Chimney Rock Road due to flooding in Bridgewater
  • Route 22 east is down to one lane by Chimney Rock Road in Bridgewater
  • On the Bridgewater and Branchburg border, Old York Road is closed.
  • Route 22 West at the intersection of Rock Avenue is closed in Green Brook
  • Greenbrook Road between Washington Avenue and Madison Avenue is closed in Green Brook
  • Route 22 West along with Pleasant Run Road and Lamington Road in Readinton is closed
  • In Hillsborough, flooding has closed roads including Riverside Drive between Clawson and Mill Lane, and Three Bridges between Woodfern and Hockenbury.
  • In Bedminster, River Road East between Matthews Drive and Cowperthwaite Road is closed.
  • In Warren, Washington Valley Road between King George Road and Brady Road is closed.
  • In Warren, Valley Road between Spring Valley Road and Liberty Corner Road
  • In Franklin, the Griggstown causeway is closed.
  • In Montgomery, County Route 533 between Bridgepoint Road and Dead Tree Run
  • In Mountainside, Route 22 remains closed in both directions at Glenside Rd near Robinhood Rd with a downed tree and electric wires.
  • In Scotch Plains, Route 22 eastbound is closed at Park Avenue and at Bonnie Burn Road westbound.
