Regional Center Partnership Issues 2020 Achievements Report

The Somerset County Regional Center Partnership has issued the “2020 Achievements Report – A Model for Intermunicipal Cooperation” outlining the accomplishments of the organization that serves as the cooperative planning partnership for Bridgewater Township, Ratian Borough, and Somerville Borough.

Led by the Regional Center Partnership of Somerset County, the organization provides leadership, technical support, and assistance to shape planning policies that ensure that the Regional Center continues to be the premier location in Somerset County to live, work, play and learn.

According to Troy Fischer, Chairman of the Regional Center Partnership, “ Despite the pandemic of 2020, the Partnership focused efforts on continuing to work toward advancing the goals and objectives of the Regional Center as a Priority Growth Investment Area, supporting Phase III of the Priority Investment Strategy, the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS), and the Suburban Disadvantage legislation issue.”

The report provides highlights of the Strategic Plan and information on major accomplishments in the three communities including the Raritan Revitalization Plan, the Strategic Economic Development Project, and the Rain Barrel Rebate Program while recognizing store openings, grant awards, and public art projects.
