Retirement Planning Workshop for Financial Services Professionals

Thursday, February 23 at the Somerset County Business Partnership

The Somerset County Business Partnership Financial Services Special Interest Group (FiSIG) will present a learning opportunity for financial services professionals, “Retirement Planning Overview” on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 8:30 A.M. to 9:30 A.M.

The informative workshop will take place in the Somerset County Business Partnership conference room, 360 Grove Street at Route 22 east, Bridgewater, New Jersey. The session is directed at financial advisors, CPA’s, financial planners, and insurance professionals.

The session will include a discussion of various retirement plans available to small businesses (SEP, SIMPLE, 401(k), Cash Balance and Defined Benefit), their characteristics, and the design elements that determine the best fit for an employer.

Presenter is Eric Suhr, CRPC®, a professional in the field since 1986 with focus on pension consulting and third party pension administration. His expertise is in the area of intelligent design of Profit Sharing/401(k) and pension plans, a process involving in-depth fact finding with the clients and their financial-, tax- and legal advisors to ensure that the plan is appropriate for the clients, their businesses and their employees.

The FiSIG mission is to educate Business Partnership members on issues affecting personal and professional financial lives that are often intertwined in small and medium sized businesses. The group meets regularly to discuss economic and legislative issues that impact profitability, share best practices, and plan and implement educational workshops.
