Round Valley Reservoir Hits Lowest Level Ever
Spruce Run Reservoir is also approaching its lowest recorded level.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — The drought in New Jersey is causing a ripple effect onto nearby reservoirs in the Hunterdon County.
Round Valley Reservoir hit it lowest recorded level earlier this month on Nov. 4 at 360.98 feet and 67.1 percent of capacity, according to New Jersey Water Supply Authority.
It has since gone down even further to 360.53 feet and 66.5 percent of capacity as of Nov. 10.

The previous lowest level since its first fill in the 1960s was on Nov. 28, 1982 with 361.05 feet and 67.2 percent.
Spruce Run Reservoir, also in Clinton Township, is also approaching its lowest recorded level. It is currently, as of Nov. 10, at 248.91 feet and 33 percent of capacity.

The lowest level since first fill was recorded on Oct. 18, 1993 at 246.68 feet and 28.2 percent of capacity.
Currently there is a drought watch in many areas in New Jersey.
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection designated a drought warning for Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris, Ocean, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, Union and Warren counties on Oct. 21.
