Route 202 North Ramp To Milltown Road Closed In Bridgewater

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — The Route 202 North ramp to Milltown Road is closed and detoured Thursday in Bridgewater, announced New Jersey Department of Transportation.
From 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Oct. 5, the ramp from Route 202 northbound to Milltown Road will close and be detoured to install electrical conduit. The following detour will be in place:

- Motorists on Route 202 northbound wishing to take the ramp to Milltown Road/All Turns will be directed to continue on Route 202 northbound
- Take the ramp to Janssen Drive/U and Left Turns
- Turn right onto Ortho Drive
- Turn left onto Route 202 southbound
- Take the ramp to Milltown Road/All Turns
This work is part of the $8.6 million federally funded Route 202, West County Drive/CR 646 to I-287, Pavement Preservation project that will make repairs to approximately six miles of Route 202 in Branchburg, Raritan, and Bridgewater, Somerset County.
Work includes milling and paving, installation of new sidewalks and ADA-compliant curb ramps and upgrading guiderail. Improvements will also be made to various intersections throughout the project limits.

The project is expected to be completed in fall 2024.
