RVCC Will Hold Open House at Bridgewater Campus

Program to focus on career, trade and technical training courses.

Raritan Valley Community College will hold an open house next week at its Bridgewater campus about its career, trade and technical training programs.

The open house will be held 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22 at RVCC@Bridgewater, 14 Vogt Drive, between the library and Somerset County Vo-Tech.

The open house will offer the opportunity to learn about professional development certification programs offered by the community college in the fields of AutoCAD, business applications, management accountant, professional payroll, social media, graphic design, pharma/life sciences, project management, Six Sigma, web page design and more.

Prospective students also can explore training programs in such fields as carpentry, plumbing, HVAC and electrical trades.

Aspiring and established small business owners can learn about special training courses offered by the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at RVCC.

RVCC’s Workforce Development also offers a variety of programs for individuals seeking careers in healthcare.

In addition, two new programs—which have been developed in partnership with industry leaders—are now being offered in auto technology and cosmetology.

Area employers are invited to attend to learn about how the college can provide free training for their employees in such areas as English as a Second Language, Microsoft Office and other basic skills.

Attendees will be able to meet with instructors, tour the facilities and register for classes.
