Multiple Bear Sightings in Somerset County
Over the past week there have been three bears spotted in Somerset County.

WATCHUNG, NJ — Multiple bear sightings have been reported across Somerset County over the past week.
In Watchung, a bear was spotted in the area of Deer Run on Sunday, Sept. 11 around 8:30 p.m.
"Remember to never approach bears and contact local authorities to report aggressive behavior," Watchung Police reported.

In Bridgewater, one bear was spotted on Sept. 5 on Glen Ridge Drive South and Van Holten Road. Another bear was spotted on Sept. 7 on Owens Court, according to Bridgewater Police Lt. Michael Maxwell.
"All reports are of a non-aggressive bear just walking in the area. The bear walked into the woods," Maxwell said.
