Three Republicans and three Democrats have filed to run in the Primary Election for 2025.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Six candidates filed to run for three Township Council seats up for election in Bridgewater Township for 2025.

Monday afternoon marked the state deadline for candidates to file petitions to get on the ballot for the 2025 primary elections. Three Republicans and three Democrats submitted petitions for candidacy in Bridgewater.

Longtime Councilman and current Council President Howard Norgalis said he is not seeking re-election.

Norglais served on the Council for 21 years, and prior to that, he served on the Zoning Board and Chair of the Planning Board.

"I am ready to relax," said Norgalis.

Here's who filed to run for Township Committee(* indicates incumbent):

Republican:

  • Allen Kurdyla*
  • Filipe Pedroso*
  • Meghan Moench

Democrats:

  • Ridwana Isla
  • Joan Geiger
  • Andrew Bucko

Primary election day is June 10 for New Jersey.
