Motorcyclist Airlifted To Hospital In Serious Bridgewater Crash

The crash occurred on Garretson Road in Bridgewater involving a Bridgewater driver and Manville motorcyclist.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A motorcyclist was airlifted to a hospital following a serious crash with a car in Bridgewater on Tuesday afternoon.

At 12:31 p.m. a 2020 Subaru Forester, driven by Joanne Horowitz from Bridgewater, and a Harley-Davidson XL-8, driven by Roger Ulate from Manville crashed on Garretson Road at the intersection of John Christian Drive, said Bridgewater Traffic Safety Officer Joseph Greco.

Members of the Green Knoll Volunteer Fire Company, Green Knoll Volunteer Rescue Squad, Martinsville Volunteer Rescue Squad, Robert Wood Johnson Hospital Paramedics, and Atlantic Health Systems Air One Unit helped provide help before Ulate was airlifted to a nearby hospital.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time.

The roadway was closed for more than three hours during the investigation and reopened as of 4:35 p.m.
