Shots Fired At Car With 2 Women Inside Reported In Bridgewater

Bridgewater Police are investigating the shooting that occurred on Tuesday afternoon in the Finderne section of the township.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Authorities are investigating after gunshots were fired at a car with two women inside in the Finderne section of Bridgewater on Tuesday.

On March 1 at around 3:30 p.m., a 911 call reported shots fired at a vehicle in the area of Finderne Avenue and East Main Street in Bridgewater, said Acting Somerset County Prosecutor Thomas Chirichella.

Bridgewater Police found the vehicle which had two adult women from Bridgewater inside, said Chirichella.

Through the investigation, police went to the apartments on Sunny Slope Road where they found numerous spent shell casings in this area. No shooting victims have been reported to authorities.

Detectives from the Bridgewater Township Police Department along with the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit are investigating.
