Sinkhole, NJ Turnpike Crash: Patch PM Traffic Digest

NEW JERSEY — Good afternoon, New Jersey Patch readers! Here are the latest traffic updates that will impact travel on Thursday, June 30, 2022:

Traffic Updates

North Jersey

As of 4:37 p.m., there is a disabled vehicle on US 46 eastbound East of CR 635/Browertown Rd in Little Falls Township. One right lane of 4 lanes is closed.

As of 4:22 p.m., there's a crash on Garden State Parkway entering at Exit 142-A - I-78 East in Hillside Township. One lane blocked.

As of 4:07 p.m., there's a disabled vehicle on New Jersey Turnpike - Eastern Spur inside exit Interchange 16E - NJ 3/Lincoln Tunnel in Secaucus. One center lane of 10 lanes is blocked.

Central Jersey

As of 4:19 p.m., there's a crash on New Jersey Turnpike Inner Roadway southbound Exit ramp Interchange 11 - Garden State Parkway in Woodbridge Township. On left lane of two lanes is blocked.

As of 4:15 p.m., there's a crash on New Jersey Turnpike - Pennsylvania Ext. westbound West of New Jersey Turnpike South in Mansfield Township. The left shoulder is blocked.

As of 12:20 p.m., there is a sinkhole on Garden State Parkway Express Lanes northbound North of Exit 109 - CR 520 in Middletown Township. One right lane of 2 lanes is closed to traffic.

South Jersey

As of 4:25 p.m., there's a crash on NJ 55 southbound Exit 50 - US 322 in Harrison Township. The right shoulder is closed. Use caution.

As of 3:54 p.m., there is debris on Garden State Parkway Local Lanes southbound North of Exit 116 - PNC Arts Center in Holmdel Township. On left lane of 3 lanes is blocked.

As of 12:53 p.m., there is ongoing emergency construction on I-676 northbound at Exit 4 - Atlantic Ave in Camden. The right shoulder is closed. Drivers should use caution.

Transit Updates

Atlantic City: ACRL train #4627, the 2:32 PM Atlantic City arrival is up to 20 min late due to congestion resulting from train #4628 ahead.

Raritan Valley: RVL train #5742, the 4:31 PM arrival into Newark Penn Station is up to 15 min late due to earlier mechanical issues.

Northeast Corridor: Rail service into and out of Penn Station New York is operating on or close to schedule with residual delays to trains already enroute following an earlier disabled train in one of the Hudson River Tunnels. NJ TRANSIT rail tickets and passes are no longer being cross-honored by PATH at Newark Penn Station, Hoboken and 33rd St-NY.
