Cat Missing For 6 Months Reunited With Family Thanks To Somerset Regional Animal Shelter
A dedicated animal control officer visited the address on Simon's microchip to locate his owners.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A senior kitty missing for six months was reunited with his family thanks to the Somerset Regional Animal Shelter(SRAS).
Senior Cat "Simon," also known as Rebar, arrived at the shelter as a stray earlier this month.
Simon was brought in by a compassionate Good Samaritan who was able to rally him into her home after building some trust over some time, said the shelter.

While Simon was microchipped, the shelter's efforts to contact the owner listed on the microchip were unsuccessful. This prompted one of their dedicated animal control officers to visit the address.
"And what an incredible reunion it was, as the overjoyed owners were finally reunited with their beloved cat, missing for six long months!" said the shelter. "Happy trails you sweet kitty, no more escaping home!!"
