Mental Health Programs To Cope With COVID, Hurricane Ida Issues Offered In Somerset County

The free programs help Somerset County residents to cope with mental health issues stemming from the impact of unprecedented disasters.

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — Free mental health disaster recovery programs and workshops are being offered to Somerset County residents to help them to learn how to cope with mental health issues stemming from the impact of unprecedented disasters such as the COVID-19 pandemic and Hurricane Ida.

The programs and workshops are available through the Somerset County Hope and Healing Crisis Counseling Program (CCP).

"It's important that access to mental health support is available to residents in the workplace and our communities where we spend so much of our time every week," said Somerset County Commissioner Paul Drake. "When we ignore mental health issues, the cost to our residents, their families, and their colleagues can be immeasurable."
