Somerset County Fugitive Of Month Wanted For Attempted Murder

NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ — A man wanted for attempted murder in North Plainfield was named Somerset County Prosecutor's Office(SCPO) Fugitive of the Month.

Cristobal Avila is wanted by the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office for 5 counts of first-degree attempted murder, second-degree unlawful possession of weapons, and second-degree certain person not to have weapons offense for an incident that happened on April 11, 2021, in North Plainfield.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

The SCPO released the following information on Avila:

• Date of birth: 01/13/1991
• Height: 6’1
• Weight: 170
• Hair: Brown
• Eyes: Brown
• Tattoos: Face, neck, left arm, right hand
• Last known address: N. Plainfield and East Brunswick

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of this individual should contact the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Fugitive Unit.
