Somerset County Parks, Golf Courses To Reopen Saturday
The Park Commission did not comment on whether canceled events such as the 4th of July Fireworks or Winter Festival would be reinstated.

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — All Somerset County parks and golf courses will reopen Saturday with new coronavirus restrictions following Gov. Phil Murphy's announcement on Tuesday.
"The Park Commission will abide by and endeavor to enforce any applicable Executive Orders issued by the Governor," Somerset County Park Commission stated.

Murphy said during his press conference he's reopening state parks and allowing golf courses to reopen with statewide restrictions. However, he left it up to the local counties' discretion whether they plan to reopen. Read More: Gov. Murphy To Reopen State Parks, Golf Courses In NJ Coronavirus

Murphy said passive recreation will be allowed, so there will be restrictions:
- Parking will be capped at 50 percent of capacity
- Playgrounds, pavilions, visitor centers and restrooms will remain closed
- Picnics, organized activities and team sports will remain prohibited
- The state recommends wearing a face covering when social distancing is difficult to maintain
