Somerset County Sheriff Thanks Locals for Toy Donations

'Toys for Tots' collection a success, says Somerset County Sheriff Frank Provenzano

The Somerset County Sheriff’s Office partnered again this year with the United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Foundation to collect new, unwrapped toys to be distributed as holiday gifts to less fortunate children living in Somerset County.

“I want to thank our community for helping make our seventh annual ‘Toys for Tots’ collection a success,” said Somerset County Sheriff Frank Provenzano. “With generous support from residents, state and county employees and local businesses, hundreds of toys were collected, which will make the holidays merrier for many children this year.”

The United States Marine Corps Reserve has a close working relationship with social welfare agencies, churches and other local community agencies, who identify needy children in the community and play important roles in distributing the toys.
