Somerset Patriots' LGBTQ+ Pride Night Game Is Tuesday: See Details

BRANCHBURG, NJ — The Somerset Patriots are hosting Pride Night at Tuesday's game against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats.

RWJBarnabas Health, the official healthcare provider for the Patriots, is hosting Pride Night at TD Bank Ballpark in Bridgewater. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m.

Patrick McVerry, the president and general manager of the Somerset Patriots, said the ball club is excited to host the event with the health system.
“Since we opened in 1999, we have always looked at our home as a safe and accessible environment for everyone in our community," McVerry said in a news release. "It’s something that we take great pride in and look to make it a special night for our LGBTQ+ fans enjoying a game again or for the very first time.”

Organizations working with LBGTQ+ people will be in the concourse with information about resources and healthcare, including the Babs Siperstein PROUD Center at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset and the PROUD Gender Center of New Jersey at RWJ University Hospital in New Brunswick.
“RWJBarnabas Health is committed to providing a safe and welcoming space where members of the LGBTQ+ community can receive the medical care they need and are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve,” said Trina Parks, Corporate Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer for the health system. “We are proud to partner with the Somerset Patriots to promote greater awareness of resources available to the LGBTQ+ community to promote their health and wellness.”
