Bridgewater, NJ- The Somerset Patriots defeated the Long Island Ducks 3-2 in 15 innings before 7,080 fans at TD Bank Ballpark on Friday night to open the 2014 season.
Jonny Tucker won it for Somerset on a walk off double in the bottom of the 15th inning.

The Patriots took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second on a lead off solo home run by Dennis Raben (1).

The Ducks claimed the lead with two runs in the top of the fourth on a sacrifice fly by Lew Ford and an RBI single by Ryan Strieby to make the score 2-1.
Somerset answered to tie up the game with an RBI triple by Nate Spears in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Derell McCall (1-0) picked up the win with two scoreless innings pitched. Casey Barnes (0-1) suffered the loss with 0.2 innings pitched.
