Somerville Arts on Division Fall Festival

The annual Arts on Division (AOD) sponsored “Art All Day on Division Street” will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from12:00 Noon to 7:00 P.M.

In respect for the 20th anniversary of 9/11, AOD will feature Frontline Arts and Claymore Vets, two outstanding Veteran Arts organizations who will be honoring Veterans and First Responders,. Both organizations will be offering demos, artwork, and information about their organizations.

Frontline Paper (Arts) is a mobile, national veterans’ papermaking program that connects communities and teaches veterans, family members, and non-veterans the art of making handmade paper from military uniforms as a transformational and socially engaging way to share their stories with each other and the public. The Claymore Vets mission is to cultivate a creative and connected community of veterans, first responders, and artists to foster social reconnection and growth rooted in clay and visual Arts. Additionally, local artists will be creating original works, live music will be available all day, art activities for children will be presented, and The Day de DaDa Performance Artist Cooperative will offer a special Mail Art Workshop.

The Artisan Market will offering jewelry, paintings, drawings, photographs, ceramics, woodwork, art clothing, and a variety of other unique artworks.

Participating artists include Sojeong Ahn, Dana Benner, Adrian Collazo, Tracy Coon, Chad Fandel, Keiko Inouye, Jah King, Natia Malazonia, Robin McGeady, Thomas Moog, Marian Russo, James Schreck, Irrix Screen and Matt Sottile.

The Central Jersey Jazz Festival returns live on Sunday, September 12, 2021 from, 12:00 Noon to 6:00 P.M. on East Main Street, Somerville. The full musician line up will be announced www.centraljerseyjazzfestival.com.

Jazz Fest attendees will be able to dine on food from the many Somerville restaurants and browse the Art Market. Artists participating include: Dilly Dally Designs, Leslie Floyd, Isadora Lacouture, Barbara McGrath, Michelle Ortiz, Victoria Ramirez and Bob Yurochko. The Market will offer paintings, photographs, drawings, colorful bags, clothing, and jewelry.
