"It has always been important to me not just to be charitable, but to be charitable in my community and try to help those local to the shop," said Beneath It All owner Alison O'Neill. "I started to think about women who might have to leave a bad situation and not have time to grab anything but their loved ones. I would like them to have a fresh start, and not have to worry about going back to get the most basic of necessities. I chose to donate to Safe+Sound Somerset."

Safe + Sound Somerset touches the lives of over 7,000 people each year through a continuum of trauma-informed care, counseling, crisis intervention, housing, as well as community education and advocacy. Domestic abuse is a pattern of controlling, threatening, degrading and violent behaviors by a partner. Abuse takes many forms, including emotional, psychological, physical, sexual and financial.
