Somerville St. Patrick's Day Parade 2018: What You Need To Know

SOMERVILLE, NJ — Somerville's Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade gathers locals from all over the area each year. Here is some information you need to know before you go.
The parade will be held on Sunday, March 11 at 1:30 p.m. and will run on West Main Street from Grove Street to Mountain Avenue.
Select Somerville restaurants will be offering specials and bar service beginning at noon including: Alfonoso's, Central Pizzeria & Restaurant, Mannion's Irish Pub, McCormick's Pub and Verve.

This is the 26th year the parade will be held. The first St. Patrick’s Day Parade on record in Somerville was held in 1984 and it began at Duke Island Park and traveled to downtown Somerville.
Finbarr Kirby is the 2018's Grand Marshall for the parade. He was born and raised in Cork City, Ireland.

Marchers in the parade include fire departments, Girl Scout troops, Boy Scout troops, American Legions, rescue squads, political officials and more. For the full list of marchers click here.
For parking there are lots outlined on the map below and side streets north of the parade route available. In addition to the public parking lots downtown, the ‘Desapio Parking Deck’ is also open on parade day.
