'Sopranos' Actor Visits DeLucia's Brick Oven Pizza In Raritan
Joseph R. Gannascoli, known for portrayal of Vito Spatafore on the HBO series "The Sopranos," stopped by DeLucia's for a slice.

RARITAN, NJ — "The Sopranos" actor Joseph R. Gannascoli, known for portrayal of Vito Spatafore on the HBO series, stopped by Raritan's famous DeLucia's Brick Oven Pizza on Wednesday.
"It was very cool. I had no idea that he was coming in," said Christian DeLucia, fourth-generation owner of the pizzeria at 3 1st Ave. in Raritan.
DeLucia told Patch he saw Gannascoli sitting at a table and gave him a nod because he didn’t want to bother him.

Then, Gannascoli came into the kitchen and hung out with DeLucia and his staff for a little bit before eating.
"He was a very nice guy with a great personality," said DeLucia. "It was very cool to meet a cast member from the Sopranos, being I grew up watching the series."

DeLucia's pizza rose to fame after the best-tasting slice internet celebrity Dave "El Pres" Portnoy gave them a near-perfect review in January 2022.

Two years since the review, DeLucia's still sells out of pizzas, prompting celebrities to visit as well.
NFL Legend Joe Montana stopped by in April 2023 and New York Jets players Solomon Thomas and Bill Weber also came by later that month.
