BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Spotlight Dance Academy of NJ in Martinsville held their recital finale this past weekend and congratulated all of the award recipients as well.

Spotlight Dance Academy of NJ also recently competed at World Class Talent Experience in Kenilworth and walked away with arms full of awards including many overall awards in their respective categories.

Bella Costello, Michael Ebel, Madelyn Eldrige, Amani Green, Jaelyn Holt, Anna Kotelnikov, Stacy Richards, Leah Sowden, Tianna Spitz, Emily Stass, Kayla Stass, Mehr Takkar, Max Vanderbeck and Shayna Vanderbeck are the current members of Spotlight Dance Academy of NJ's four year young competition team.

These students walked away from their last regional competition of the season with 1st Place Overall for their Large Group Open dance entitled "All That 90s", Amani Green and Leah Sowden's tap duet entitled "My Boyfriend's Back", Tianna Spitz's lyrical solo entitled "All of the Stars" and Stacy Richard's self-choreographed solo entitled "To This Day", 2nd Place Overall for Bryona Inglis, Emily Stass and Tianna Spitz's lyrical trio entitled "Latch" and 3rd Place Overall for Bella Costello and Emily Stass's duet entitled "Life of the Party" and their small group open dance entitled "Castle".

In addition to the awards they received for their dances, Spotlight Dance Academy of NJ dancers Bryona Inglis and Tianna Spitz were named Ambition Scholarship recipients. And, Spotlight Dance Academy of NJ dancer Anna Kotelnikov was invited to dance in the World Class Talent Experience National Opening Number.

It was an event filled with achievements for the Martinsville studio directed by Catherine Heldt Ebel of Warren.

"These awards are a testament to the belief that all things are possible with hard work and dedication for every dancer, as Spotlight Dance Academy of NJ prides itself on giving all dancers who are interested in being a part of their Dance Team a chance to compete without auditions or cuts," said Heldt Ebel . "The studio believes that dance is for everyone. And, if a dancer wants to compete, they will at Spotlight Dance Academy of NJ."
